Facebook Story Downloader — Save FB Stories
Facebook stories last 24 hours. Save public ones as video or photo files — anonymously, without logging in.
Auto-detects Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and X. Public content only.
How to download in 3 steps
Copy the story link
Open the story, tap the Share icon or three-dot menu, choose Copy link.
Paste it above
Drop the link in the box. Public story items resolve automatically.
Save the story
Tap Download on the video or photo. Nothing is stored on our servers.
What you get
Anonymous fetch
No Facebook session — no view attributed to you.
Video & photo
Both story formats, as Facebook serves them.
Cross-posted stories
Instagram stories cross-posted to Facebook usually resolve too.
Public only
A deliberate limit: private stories are never fetched.
Save Facebook stories before they vanish
Stories are the most disposable format on any platform. When one matters — an announcement, a tutorial, a moment — the link is the only way to keep it, and the clock is ticking.
Paste the story link during its 24-hour window and save the file locally. No login means no view shows up in the author's stats.
Download stories on any device
PluckVid is browser-based, so Facebook downloads work the same everywhere.
iPhone: the MP4 arrives in the Files app; move it to Photos with the share sheet. Android: downloads land in your Downloads folder or gallery. Desktop: your browser's normal save flow.
Facebook links come in many shapes (facebook.com/watch, /reel, fb.watch shortlinks, ?v= IDs) — all of them are handled by the same pipeline.
- iPhone / iPad: Safari → Files app → share to Photos
- Android: Chrome → Downloads or gallery
- Desktop: browser download, no extension
Private by design
PluckVid stores none of the stories. Downloads stream through a temporary connection and are discarded; metadata lives in cache for 15–30 minutes at most.
No Facebook login is ever requested. We process public content only — what a logged-out visitor can already see. Private group posts and friends-only videos are outside our reach on purpose.
Facebook content belongs to its creators and to the people in the posts. Personal use only, and be careful with videos that show other people — they didn't opt into your re-upload.
