Privacy Policy

PluckVid is a tool, not a social network. This policy explains what little data touches our systems, written to GDPR/CCPA standards because you shouldn't need a law degree to read a privacy policy.

What we collect

  • Links you paste. Processed to resolve your download. Stored only as hashed values in a short-lived cache (15–60 minutes) and in rate-limit counters.
  • IP addresses, transiently. Used solely for rate-limiting (protecting the service from abuse). Not stored beyond a 7-day window in that counter, never sold, never enriched.
  • Aggregate usage data via Google Analytics 4 (page views, general traffic patterns). See the Analytics section below.

What we never collect

  • Your social media credentials — we never ask, anywhere, ever.
  • The media you download — nothing is stored on our servers.
  • Marketing profiles built from your downloads or pasted links.

Analytics

PluckVid uses Google Analytics 4 on the public website to understand aggregated usage (for example, which pages are visited and how users move through the tool). Google Analytics sets cookies and similar technologies to collect this data. Google anonymizes IP addresses as described in their documentation. We do not use Analytics on download streams or API responses — only on normal HTML pages.

Cookies

PluckVid does not set marketing cookies of our own. Google Analytics 4 may set cookies to measure traffic, as described above. We do not run cross-site advertising trackers. If advertising is ever added, this policy and a consent banner will appear first.

Data sharing

We don't sell, rent, or trade data — there's barely any data to share. Requests to platform CDNs are made by our servers (through proxies for rate-limit reliability); platforms see our server IPs, not yours. Hosting and edge-CDN providers process traffic as any web host does. Usage statistics are processed by Google as our analytics provider under their terms.

Children

PluckVid is not directed at children under 13 (or 16 in the EEA), and we knowingly collect no data from them.

Your rights

Under GDPR/CCPA you may request access to or deletion of any personal data — given we store almost none, such requests are simple. Contact privacy@pluckvid.com and we'll respond within 30 days.

Changes

Material changes will be reflected at the top of this page with a new date. The tool's core promise — no logins, no stored media — is not something we'll walk back quietly.
