Facebook Thumbnail Downloader — Video Covers in HD
The cover image tells you what a video is before anyone presses play. Download any public Facebook video thumbnail at full size.
Auto-detects Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and X. Public content only.
How to download in 3 steps
Copy the Facebook link
Find the video on Facebook, tap the three-dot menu (or Share), then choose "Copy link".
Paste the link
Paste it into the box above. PluckVid detects public Facebook content automatically.
Download in HD
Choose SD or HD video, audio, or the thumbnail, then tap Download to save it to your device.
What you get
Full-size covers
The largest thumbnail Facebook stores for the video.
With video results
Thumbnails appear alongside video variants — grab either.
JPG original
As served by Facebook's CDN, unmodified.
All video types
Watch pages, reels, embedded and permalink videos.
Full-size Facebook video thumbnails
Researchers, editors and moderators often need the still frame of a video, not the video. Paste any public Facebook video link and the thumbnail is listed with the other results at its largest available size.
Download thumbnails on any device
PluckVid is browser-based, so Facebook downloads work the same everywhere.
iPhone: the MP4 arrives in the Files app; move it to Photos with the share sheet. Android: downloads land in your Downloads folder or gallery. Desktop: your browser's normal save flow.
Facebook links come in many shapes (facebook.com/watch, /reel, fb.watch shortlinks, ?v= IDs) — all of them are handled by the same pipeline.
- iPhone / iPad: Safari → Files app → share to Photos
- Android: Chrome → Downloads or gallery
- Desktop: browser download, no extension
Private by design
PluckVid stores none of the thumbnails. Downloads stream through a temporary connection and are discarded; metadata lives in cache for 15–30 minutes at most.
No Facebook login is ever requested. We process public content only — what a logged-out visitor can already see. Private group posts and friends-only videos are outside our reach on purpose.
Facebook content belongs to its creators and to the people in the posts. Personal use only, and be careful with videos that show other people — they didn't opt into your re-upload.
